I really don't understand how Trump works - he claims that Ukraine started the war with Russia and then yesterday - poor Zalensky was treated like a recalcitrant child - and then virtually ejected from the White House !
I mean - this is SO WRONG - But what can sane society do about Trump ?

Waking up to the (very) sad news that Trump has suspended all aid to Ukrainia, talk about weakening Europe's negotiating position.
I read that the Norwegians stopped refuelling any US ships etc on Sunday after Trump's and Vance's 'performance' on Friday.
I feel that Trump would like nothing more than to bring the world to the brink of world war to then pull it back so he can be the person who 'saves the world'. He, Vance, Musk and the rest of their acolytes are probably that deluded they think they'll just rebuild an earth on Mars. I can't even use the word "men" as I'd need a font size of 1, I think they're pure evil.
I personally have a lot of respect for Starmer since Friday, and Macron, Starmer particularly showing leadership and a calm willingness to really try to get peace. 'Coalition of the Willing' he called it; let's see who's willing. At least we know he/Europe do want peace. Tragically, the same can't be said for the US and that is frightening.
My dad died in 2000 suddenly; there's been certain times when I was glad he wasn't here to see certain things like the burning pyres resulting from foot and mouth disease, the atrocities of 911 and Gaza and now this.
You mentioned a slow car crash @Ranald. I fear it's not as slow as anybody would want.
I stand with Ukraine, compassion for humanity and can only 🙏 peace is reached. It breaks my heart what the Ukrainians have and are going through, and the Palestinians in Gaza. Makes me question what we are 💔.

Maybe it’s true, maybe it’s a lie. However, from an environmental point of view, it is profitable to burn Russian gas now, otherwise, due to global warming, it begins to evaporate from the permafrost, which accelerates global warming even more than just CO2 after gas combustion.
