I received notice of a review of my claim..even though I have a indefinite award of 10 years..which was supposed to be ongoing till 2029..when the "light touch" was to be made..however this notice of review is to happen next week,by telephone..so it seems it is not a 10 Yr thing at all…they seem to make it up as they go along...now I have this worry yet again...sickofit...man

Does the Dwp think, at the age of 72 my condition is likely to improve?...even though its been with me since my teen years ? I feel it is disguised to be finding out if you're on the correct level of benefit, when what they're hoping to do is reduce or eliminate the benefit completely!! Has anyone got an assuring anecdotal experience for me..and what to expect..sickofit man

Fellow Spurs fan here. Hopefully your review goes well, no way should they expect miracles with your health, if nothing has changed or things have got worse, they must listen to you. Good luck to you, try not to stress too much. Although as a Spurs supporter you must be used to it by now! Sometimes the game just goes our way - hope your review does next week @spursfan

Hi and welcome to the community.

Sorry I can't offer you any advise regarding your pip

It does seem odd they want to review it early.

    Hello @spursfan

Have you telephoned the PIP Helpline and questioned them on why you are having a review so early as it does seem strange that you should be having a review now if you are on an ongoing award that is not due for review in 2029.

Also are you claiming any other benefit because it might be a review of those benefits and not PIP?

Personally I would be contacting the PIP helpline and asking them why you are having a review so soon. Telephone: 0800 121 4433 Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (Best time to ring is at 9 am)
