Awarded extra bedroom for overnight care but property pool saying carer needs to live with me?

Hello
I have been awarded a extra bedroom as I have over night care at the moment I live in a one bedroom.
According to Property pool to get a 2 bedroom the carer needs to live with me?
They say I can not have 2 rooms as I don't have the carer living with me I am very confused on the matter.
Could anyone help please?

How did you get awarded a two bedroom property if your carer doesn't live with you and why do you want the extra bedroom?

If you really have to know, I am disabled and live in a one bedroom and now need over night care carers do not have to live with you.

If you're disabled
You're allowed an extra bedroom if someone in your household is disabled and needs regular overnight care from a carer who doesn't live with you. This won't count as a spare bedroom. The person who's disabled needs to be either:
- the person claiming
- the partner of the person claiming
- any other adult who lives with you and gets a disability benefit
The disabled person should also get at least 1 of these benefits:
- Attendance Allowance
- the middle or higher rate of the care component of Disability Living Allowance
- the standard or enhanced rate of the daily living component of Personal Independence Payment
- Armed Forces Independence Payment
- the standard or enhanced rate of the daily living component of Adult Disability Payment
- the middle or highest rate of the care component of Child Disability Payment
You can only get 1 extra bedroom for carers, even if more than 1 person in your home needs overnight care.
You can also get an extra bedroom if you're in a couple and one of you has a disability that means you can't share a bedroom. The disabled person will need to get at least 1 of these benefits:
- the higher rate of Attendance Allowance
- the middle or higher rate of the care component of Disability Living Allowance
- the standard or enhanced rate of the daily living component of Personal Independence Payment
- an Armed Forces Independence Payment
- the standard or enhanced rate of the daily living component of Adult Disability Payment
- the middle or highest rate of the care component of Child Disability Payment
If you're disabled and are affected by the cuts, you should apply to your local council for extra help with your rent - this is known as a Discretionary Housing Payment. Your council should give you priority, particularly if your home has been specially adapted for you. You should also get priority for a Discretionary Housing Payment if it would be difficult for you to move, for example because you rely on your family and friends who live in the area.

you can appeal to property pool on the banding they have allocated you
14. What if I disagree with a decision about my registration?
If you disagree with a decision about the assessment of your registration you can request a review. Some examples of decisions you can request a review of include:
- Whether you are eligible to join the scheme due to immigration status;
- Whether you qualify to join the scheme;
- The number of bedrooms your household needs;
- Your priority band assessment;
- Removal or review of a priority band;
The request for a review can be made in person, by telephone, by email or in writing within 15 working days from the date of being advised of the decision. This is called a Stage 1 Review. You should send your review request to the organisation that manages your application and who made the decision, their contact details will be on the decision notification letter, or they can be found on the contact us page.
If you disagree with the outcome of the Stage 1 Review you can request a further review of the decision within 15 working days of the date of the notification letter advising of the Stage 1 decision. This is called a stage 2 review. For further detail about the review process please see our Property Pool Plus Policy document.
