payment amount after award has decreased?

Hi ,could someone help me with a question please,I'm new to this .I am a carer and have health problems,I have just been awarded lcwra and due a payment in few days .but my payment is £200 less ?saying my migration as decreased.really stressed about this .any replies much appreciated thanks

Unfortunately what has happened is correct and you aren't the only one affected.
Because LCWRA was awarded, this replaced Carers Element as the same person cannot get both. Also your Transitional Protection was reduced.
There was an Upper Tribunal court hearing on the matter in October last year, the outcome of which isn't yet known.

My TP has been reduced by almost £400.i only recently got migrated over from income support few months ago .it's totally awful what's happening

Hi there in the same position it’s absolutely disgusting how they expect us to live in this especially when ill and have caring responsibilities!! Been a cold winter in my house since they took money off! X

Hello both. The court case for this found in favor of the claimant and you should now be able to appeal the decision, as they should only reduce the TP for the difference between the two elements.

Hi Morgan _scope ,I recently contacted UC over this a few weeks ago .and they said this only applies to people who the court case refers to .I have asked for a mandoraty reconsideration.still waiting to be contacted .any advice please would be much appreciated thanks
