Carer's Allowance deducted when no longer claiming

Hi,
My friend was claiming carers allowance for me. When I returned back to work my housing benefit would be deducted by £300 when she was still claiming carers allowance for me so we stopped the claim as this was deducted from UC.
Carers allowance have stopped paying her however UC deducted this money for the month. How do I get her back the money she's entitled to claiming back the part they took off for carers allowance that she's not getting.
They deducted £81.90 a week from her claim for getting carers but she hasn't got paid this so it's missing at that figure for a month.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you

Universal Credit is paid a month in arrears.
If she looks on the payment statement for the payment you think CA was incorrectly deducted from, it will have the Assessment Period dates at the top.
Was your friend still getting Carers Allowance between those dates?

I did cancel it end of December but they never got it so I cancelled it in one of her assessment periods effective immediately. But then they deducted it all and it got complicated

Okay, what she needs to do is put a note on her Journal, under the Payment option. Give the date the CA was cancelled and ask if it's been deducted incorrectly from the most recent payment.
UC payments are based on the circumstances on last day of assessment period.
If CA wasn't in payment it shouldn't have been deducted.
But I believe CA itself is also paid 4 weeks in arrears, so there may have been overlap which wasn't obvious.
As you say, it's complicated.
