Hi, my name is Bethlittle1364! What is available for my terminally ill husband?
Good morning everyone I'm interested in advice on what is available for my terminal ill husband who relies totally on me with no support or financial help for a sitter service. For two hrs a week..any sound advice appreciated. All equipment I've had to pay for stairlift. amongst other things less expensive.

Hi @Bethlittle1364, Sorry to hear your husband is terminally ill, I hope he's as comfortable as possible at the moment.
Is your husband currently living at home or is he in hospital?
If you need financial support, he may be eligible for PIP. This is often fast tracked for people with terminal illnesses:
Personal Independence Payment (PIP): Claiming PIP if you’re nearing the end of life - GOV.UK
There are also other benefits that you or your husband may be entitled to, so it's worth a check:
Get benefits if you're nearing the end of life - GOV.UK
You may also like to look into getting a needs assessment if he hasn't already had one:
Getting a care needs assessment - Social care and support guide - NHS
I hope you can get some support in place soon 😊
How are you coping with all that's going on, are you getting any emotional support with things yourself?
