7 months still no decision on my claim

I applied for PIP early August 24, I’ve received texts saying they have received my paperwork and will contact me. I then received another text to say we have still not made a decision. Months later I received the same set of messages and still haven’t received a decision??
I have phoned on the 6 month mark and the lady wasn’t very helpful and I asked if there’s a delay due to backlog and she said no. It’s now been over 7 months and it’s really stressful and I can’t stop thinking about it… has anyone had similar or waited this long and had a negative response??

Hi there @skiesareblue1111 and welcome to the community. 😁
That is a fair wait I must say. It may be that your assessment was sent to be checked, to make sure the assessors are doing their jobs properly. I know that can increase the wait by a fair bit. But it looks like from your recent texts that you may hear something fairly soon.
It may be worth you contacting your local MP and see if they cant hurry things along for you. They're usually pretty great at that.
