Hi, my name is AloeVeralady! Can my sister claim UC and will it affect my claim?
My sister has been living with me for the past 2 years she only earns £700 every 4 weeks i currently already get universal credit can she apply for UC she is named on the tenancy agreement and will it affect my UC in anyway?

She can apply for UC in her own right yes, and as she is named on the tenancy agreement she can claim Housing Element for her half of the rent.
Your personal award won't be affected, I'm assuming as a joint tenant your own Housing Element pays 50% of the rent already.

Yes that's correct, no affect on your UC award then if your sister claims UC herself.

There are certain circumstances where you can backdate one month, but that's it.
