Please help - awarded PIP but had a random £300 COL payment today, any advice?

Hi,

I was awarded pip yesterday (back payment going in on Thursday) and I woke up this morning to a random £300 payment off DWP COL? This has been paid in error right? There’s no cost of living payment for 2025 that I can see anywhere.

    Hi @Holly54321

    I would say the award date has taken you into the period quoted below therefore you are entitled on that date to COL payment.

    You may have been entitled to payments to help with the cost of living if you were getting certain benefits or tax credits on certain dates between 2022 and 2024.

    Hi,
    I think I was paid all the Cost of Living payments during the period I was entitled to them?
    I’ve left a message in my UC journal for help but as I’m in receipt of LCWRA I’m probably not going to get an answer for a few weeks😞

    @Kimmy87 yeah I applied for pip 3rd Dec 2024 and was awarded yesterday. I already know how much the back payment is and the monthly payment (from ringing them yesterday) so I’m really confused where this £300 has come from
