Hi in n.irlamd I did my Tp 2023....I'm a pension on high award of both husband on low standard living component..he is my carer on uc.....I moved to england 2025...and all of a sudden they stopped my TP....yes I got higher award for rent ...rent is £700 every 4 weeks..in total mu uc is 367 fortnight which includes rent allowance...I've roughly worked out I am now £300 down due to this move it's so unfair bearing in mind in n.ireland we are classed as British belonging to the uk

If your Housing Element increases then your TP decreases by the same amount.

TP is designed so at the time of transfer you aren't worse off than on legacy benefits.

It erodes over time through the annual benefit increase, if new elements are added or elements increase like your rent cost.

I can't make any sense of your figures unfortunately.

Perhaps a local welfare rights organisation could help?

So let me try again ..I moved from n.irland to uk was told in Ireland to end my uc claim thought I would check with england they said no don't do that come here make apointment and ur uc will carry on as change of address said if I ended claim in n.ireland I would have to wait 5 weeks for money didn't imform me I could get a decrecionary payment for that or that my transition protection would end....yes I knew I would have top up rent but am now 250 I'm monies down plus a top up rent of roughly 170.....as the ended transitional payment immediately the ammout of that was 339.....so now left with full pension 794 pounds month which 700 pound is taken of for rent so husband carers element reduced as well because if this .....trying to appeal as they never mentioned ending my transitional payment
