Hi, my name is Sunshinecatz! Has my child's DLA award been declined at renewal or changed?

hello, dla advice please😩
Child’s last full payment was 4th March, claim was due to run out 9th March 2025 I sent renewal back on 3rd February recorded delivery,no letter yet but last night received one weeks work of payment for child in my bank?
Does this mean child’s award has been declined at renewal or that it’s a payment to adjust to a new rate?? Confused as to what’s going on and worried as I will need to cancel childs private therapies that the dla is used for😩

Your best option is to call them and ask, the phone number is 0800 121 4600.

I did at 9am the man took all our details and said the renewal was done however he can tell me the outcome🤯 wait 7-10 for the letters he said.

Hi @Sunshinecatz, that sounds really frustrating. You could try ringing again to see if someone different might give you the information, it can sometimes vary depending on who you get on the line.
If they're not able to share unfortunately it might just be a case of waiting for the letter to come through. Hope you hear back soon!
