hello everyone

I applied for pip before Christmas and received a random phone call this evening, the lady said she was going to do a paper based assessment as I supplied 10 pieces of evidence and she just wanted to clarify some questions and it lasted about 15 minutes.
she said she’s going to send it off to the assessor person and I’ll receive a decision.
I applied on mental health grounds and obviously this has made me feel really anxious, I’m just wondering if anyone had a similar experience and what their outcome was?

thanks everyone

For first time claims most people have assessments and paper based are rare but it doesn't mean you'll be refused. What you can't do is compare someone else to yourself because we are all different and each individual claim will also be different.

Once the assessment report is returned a decision can take up to 12 weeks.

Unfortunately I got rejected with 2 points so It’s going to MR but there’s a lot of people on here with a similar situation who got accepted so don’t lose hope yet hope it goes well for you x

    Sorry to hear that.

Wishing you all the best with the MR. Beyond me even with 10 pieces of evidence.

Thank you, unfortunately just seems standard for a lot of them to just reject it regardless of evidence but fingers crossed for MR
