Very confused
my partner and myself received the usual format letter to tell us that housing benefit would be ending and that if we needed to continue to get financial support for our rent we would have to claim the housing element of universal credit we have course filled in the online application and did everything we were requested to do.
this morning I have received a telephone call from job Centre plus to tell me that my migration from support allowance to universal credit have now been accepted and that need to do anything at this point.
where did this come from? I have not claimed any other part of universal credit other than the housing element.
The person I who rang me didn’t allow me the opportunity to speak to them about what my actual claim been for at this I am enquiring should I log into my universal credit account and address this question through my journal?
any advice is very helpful, thank you very much.

UC is a benefit made up of many different elements. Standard Allowance, child element, Housing, anything disability related etc.
You'll be paid anything you are entitled to including Housing Element.
