Morning folks. Sorry to hear people are struggling with the upcoming news, I know it's not easy.
We do have a discussion here for everyone to join in with. I think it's best we keep any talk of potential benefit changes there, so people who don't want to read about it have safe spaces to talk about other things. I hope that's ok?But please know we are doing our best and once the information is out, we'll give a statement.

Hi I hope your doing well today.
I’m glad you’ve suggested benefit posts stick to the threads that have already been made, it’s on most of our minds but I’m trying to distract myself from it all.
I hope everyone can get through the day and we will know more tomorrow look after yourselves.@luvpink

It's a very stressful time for so many people, but it's important people can voice their views on that discussion. But we are keeping an eye out for those who may need some extra support.
But that discussion isn't this discussion, so let's try and keep the usual happy vibes going in here. I think we could all use some. 😊1 -
@Catherine21 , As suggested by @Albus_Scope see you in the discussion forum to discuss this further. Hope your day has gone well so far . I’m had some blood’s this morning & heading shortly for some Knee injections at my local GP surgery 😊

Got my new council tax bill
Doesnt seem. Right to me
Last year I only paid pounds a month and 7 pounds previous year
I. Get discounts due to live alone and disability
So why does my bill say 70 pounds a month?
And that's a discount
I'm. Appalled
I. Tried several times to get through to the council on the phone. In a queue. After 1 hour on hold I gave up
So I emailed them
Had anyone else got a wrong bill

@Amberpearl I got a bill for nearly £400 for December to March, after migrating to Universal credit. I sent an email to the council tax address on the bill, I then realised I had to contact the council tax benefits. I ended up writing to the benefits office and the council tax office, I sent my evidence of all the benefits I have. I sent proof of my disabilities. I explained why I was writing to them, and asked if they could reasses my claim..
I then received a copy of the original bill again, with the same amount owing. Then I also receieved a bill dated a day after showing I was entitled to full tax benefit and i didn't owe anything.
I've kept both of the bills, as the bill showing the nill amount is dated a day later.
Ive been keeping my fingers crossed, that this year's council tax bill is not going to show any high payments owing.
I think it's always important that if you think they have made a mistake, challenge it and follow up on it, if you don't hear back from them within two weeks. I think sending an email or writing in to the council tax office and the council tax benefits is better as you have proof of contact. I sent my paperwork by royal mail, signed for. Kept the receipts with the bill and kept notes on all the contact I'd had with them.

Whiling away the am hours, "ve been staying up until 3am or even later, ive had problems with sleeping for a good while now, but at the moment time seems to fly.
It's the vampire diaries that's filling my early hours, at the moment. Im now starting the last season 8, ive got to find something else once I'm done.
I think it will be the originals a spin off from TVD.
My taste in viewing is vast, I binged "Jane the virgin " loved it so much watched it again. "Bridgerton" could watch it over and over, the series about a doctor in Dixey, cant remember the title even though i watched this twice. lucky my memory isn't the best lol. "Disvovery of Witches", "Mayor of East Town", "911 lone ranger", "911", the list goes on...
I find i forget everything else going on in the world, when I'm watching these different series, I can switch off early hours, then I get a few hours restful sleep.
Does anyone else who has trouble sleeping have distractions to help fill the early hours ? Any recommendations of a good series, to binge watch?

I worked nightshifts for nearly ten years. With just one workmate and my personal laptop for company . Unfortunately it's ruined my sleeping patterns so I'm often awake at 3am still, so I'm great for show recommendations. 😆
If you wanted something funny, I really recommend Scrubs, I can watch that show over and over.
Carnivale is a great series from 2003, fairly spooky, Twin Peaks vibes to it, with dashes of TVD.
The Rightious Gemstones is really funny. A very tongue in cheek parody of life running an American megachurch.
Yellowjackets is also brilliant. A group of girls soccer players' plane crashes and it jumps from the past to the present. Very well done, with a great 90s alternative soundtrack.Severance is on season two and is bonkers. Hard to explain, but I'm loving it.
If you let me know what streaming platforms you have access to, I can have a look and see what's about. 😊0 -
I made the same mistake at lunch @Sandy_123 I remembered my big coat, but forgot my hat! My poor noggin has only just warmed up. 😆
