Can I claim new style ESA/ when to do it?

Will I be forced to claim Universal Credit if we separate?
Hi. I am currently in the Support group on the enhanced rate. The claim is in my name, as with my housing & council tax benefits. When my partner moved in as my carer, they just added him, but all the paperwork remains in my name. They then gave my severe premium to him, as carer's allowance. I need to know - if he moves…

Transfer from ESA to UC question
Hello. I'm new to the forum and just wanted to ask a question. I'm currently in receipt of ESA but will obviously receive a Universal Credit transition letter sometime this year. I was wondering if I will be subject to the harsher rules when this happens, or if I will be classed as an existing claimant being moved onto UC?
