Good evening, had my work coach interview today and the lady said I would receive a decision in 7 to 10 days . But my first payment would be a partial payment and thereafter fortnightly. Because I put my claim in advance due to knowing when my SSP was coming to end, she said I have already done my 7 waiting days. Just looking for some some advice as to what people’s own experiences they had and how quick recieved payment

Could be a few weeks. It really depends on what date your claim actually started. The only ones that can really specifically answer your questions are ESA itself.

Let us know how you get on @gigi77, we always like to hear the outcomes of these rather niche situations as though they are rare they do come up again! And it's always nice to look back and go "last time we had this situation, it went like this".0

Thank you @Jimm_Scope will do, just got back and already I’ve already received the 24 page work capability questionnaire letter date October 2nd they had sent it out 2 days before interview. It goes to show how differing timescales are from what I’ve read about receiving this booklet. I’m just concerned as on this booklet stares min 50 metres before stopping but pip is different . I thought the pip form was bad but this looks just as daunting.0

It's not usual to receive the ESA50 quite soon after your claim starts. It's usually when claiming UC that there can be a delay in being referred for the work capability assessment. The rules for PIP moving around are very different to what they are for ESA Support Group descriptor. This is known as "mobilising" for this they also consider your ability to use a self propel wheelchair. You can see the descriptors here for Support Group. https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/employment-and-support-allowance/esa-glossary/support-group-descriptors

I know this is an old post but did you get payment straight away? I only ask because my SSP ended 4th march claim started 5th and I’ve already seen a pending transaction from ESA? I thought I had to do 7 waiting days
