Hi everyone,it's just to ask about my pip award review, just received a letter today to get my review award back by 5th Jan 2023,it's 21st December today, for an award I was given in August 2020 until Feb5th 2023,OK,but then on 11th January 2021,my award was extended until 5th November 2023,so ok I thought this was now the award, official letter, now this has come this morning, sent out on the 5th December to be returned on the 5th January,no time whatsoever and they have shortened my award without warning or a letter,I also know as everyone else as seen this morning about the royal mail strikes, what a Xmas present, what can I do,this will spoil my Xmas with worrying about getting it back on time, and them not having the decency to tell me my extension of 9 months has been withdrawn. No new award letter.Need to know what to do or get advice, please help.

Try calling them to get you return extended0

Your extended award hasn't been taken away you will continue to be paid till review has been cim0leted and new decision made
Reviews are taking up to a year to complete which is why they send the forms so far in advance
Call them and ask for an extension to return your form0 -
They haven’t withdrawn the extension. They need to start the review process in good time to enable them to complete it in time for your extended award not to end before they make a new decision. Before the pandemic reviews typically started about six months before the end date. (In fact the award end date is set by adding 12 months to the recommended review date.)london75 said:…them not having the decency to tell me my extension of 9 months has been withdrawn…
As advised by carcari, ring them and they will give you an extension. They will normally give an extra two weeks but in current circumstances they may give longer. Try ringing early in the morning when lines tend to have less long waiting times.london75 said:.. worrying about getting it back on time,..0 -

We can't physically help you to fill out the form, we can only advise you. There's a guide here to filling out the form. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/sick-or-disabled-people-and-carers/pip/pip-changes-and-reviews/help-with-your-pip-review-form/You can use this link to see what advice agency is local to you. https://advicelocal.uk/welfare-benefits I'm sure they can advise you over the phone. Most people have assessments even for reviews but lots of still done through telephone, though some are still face to face at an assessment centre, or by video call.
