Hello, I received a text on the 14th saying they have received my written assessment and a decision will be made in 8 weeks, then today I got a text to say we have not yet made a decision on your claim we will write to you when we have. Is that just a system update message?

Hi
Same here I got both texts the same as you on about the same dates . I rang them today and they said wait another week or so ….0 -
Decisions can take anything up to 12 weeks after the report is returned.

@Jane888 @poppy123456 thank you for replying. I understand it’s all a waiting process i don’t think I’ve waited half as long as others have I’ve only started my claim in October so think I’ve been quiet lucky. @Jane888 what did they tell you to wait another week for, the decision?0

Hi Lurizle
Thanks for your reply. Yes the lady said claims are currently taking about 3 weeks at the moment from when they received your assessment back .And it’s definitely a lot quicker than what a lot of people seem to have waited in the past . Even so the wait is still a big deal and a stressful time. I wish I had asked for a copy of my report yesterday but after an hours wait on the phone I don’t think I can bear it again …..0 -
Decisions can take up to about 12 weeks from when the report was returned, some take less, some take longer.

@poppy123456 thank you! It’s awful the wait my anxiety is terrible with it0

You're not alone in feeling this way, many others are the same, myself included.

@poppy123456 I know I’m not alone, hence why I started my discussion on here. I have called them Aj they are waiting for the more information from my doctors she said they don’t always do this but it may get more points0
-
How are you feeling about them waiting for more information from your doctors at the moment @Lurizle? Hopefully, it won't take too much longer0
-
@L_Volunteer I don’t really have any way to feel about it, although my mental health is much longer standing with the doctors for years then what it has been to where I got to breaking point last year and ended up sectioned under mental health act so I’m kind of all for them taking doctors notes to as they will see I didn’t just wake up one morning an break … it’s was over time. I will just have to wait like everyone else 😊0

Hello @Lurizle
It's such a horrible waiting game, and it's easier said than done to say to try and put it out of your mind. I just wanted to comment and check in that you do still have that good support with your GP for your mental health?0
