Hello, I received a text on the 14th saying they have received my written assessment and a decision will be made in 8 weeks, then today I got a text to say we have not yet made a decision on your claim we will write to you when we have. Is that just a system update message?

Yes, I would assume it is automatically generated.

Decisions can take anything up to 12 weeks after the report is returned.

@Jane888 @poppy123456 thank you for replying. I understand it’s all a waiting process i don’t think I’ve waited half as long as others have I’ve only started my claim in October so think I’ve been quiet lucky. @Jane888 what did they tell you to wait another week for, the decision?

    Hi Lurizle
Thanks for your reply. Yes the lady said claims are currently taking about 3 weeks at the moment from when they received your assessment back .And it’s definitely a lot quicker than what a lot of people seem to have waited in the past . Even so the wait is still a big deal and a stressful time. I wish I had asked for a copy of my report yesterday but after an hours wait on the phone I don’t think I can bear it again …..

There’s not much value in getting a copy of the report and it causes a lot of people stress.

Hello @Jane888 , still not heard anything or had any payments and haven’t got the energy to be on the phone for them to tell me nothing 😌

Decisions can take up to about 12 weeks from when the report was returned, some take less, some take longer.

You're not alone in feeling this way, many others are the same, myself included.

@poppy123456 I know I’m not alone, hence why I started my discussion on here. I have called them Aj they are waiting for the more information from my doctors she said they don’t always do this but it may get more points

How are you feeling about them waiting for more information from your doctors at the moment @Lurizle? Hopefully, it won't take too much longer  :)

@L_Volunteer I don’t really have any way to feel about it, although my mental health is much longer standing with the doctors for years then what it has been to where I got to breaking point last year and ended up sectioned under mental health act so I’m kind of all for them taking doctors notes to as they will see I didn’t just wake up one morning an break … it’s was over time. I will just have to wait like everyone else 😊

    Hello @Lurizle

It's such a horrible waiting game, and it's easier said than done to say to try and put it out of your mind. I just wanted to comment and check in that you do still have that good support with your GP for your mental health? :)
