I'm sorry to hear that your husband has gone to jail I would think it would stop now as he's in jail and start again when he comes out again

PIP will continue for 28 days, after that then payments will stop. DWP need to be notified that he's on remand. https://www.turn2us.org.uk/Your-Situation/A-prisoner/Prisoners-serving-a-sentence/Benefits-you-can-t-get-Serving-a-sentence
Does he claim any other benefits?

How long has he been on remand? You haven't given any information for anyone to be able to advise.
Has the changes been reported to PIP? Does he claim any other benefits? you didn't answer that question.

You need to tell both PIP and UC.

You still haven't answered this question..
How long has he been on remand?
Changes also need to be reported to UC because this also stops. If he was claiming for help with any rent through UC then this can continue for up to 6 months.
I dnt think I been reported to pip

If changes haven't been reported then he will receive the payment tomorrow but if he's been in prison for longer than 28 days then PIP will stop. Any overpayment for this and UC will need to be repaid back.

Hi just going off what I do know. Upon entering the prison whether it be remand or sentenced, he will be given a prison ID , he will be asked to confirm name date of birth and also national insurance number, will also be asked if on benefits and regardless of answer they will still inform them, this is because of benefits fraud in past and so many people were not telling them payments were being made so years ago was all updated so as soon as the info is entered into the prison system name dob nat ins number , The prison automatically then notify all DWP benefits on his behalf so you wont have to. So depending how long ago he was remanded, you may not receive a payment tomorrow, if you do it will probably be the last one and may be of a lesser amount. Housing benefit is the only benefit continued will be continued to be payed up to 16 weeks only after entering prison.

Depending on when he was remanded, it's likely the PIP will have already stopped. My husband also got remanded last year (he was eventually found not guilty) and his PIP was stopped after a week of the 28 day period ending the above poster is correct, the prison notifies the DWP straight away. If the DWP were notified after the money was already released for payment then he may still receive it, although they can claw it back from the bank.
