What classes severe conditions?

I’ve been reading the forums and since my ADHD / potential autism diagnosis. I’m wondering what classes as a severe condition for ESA. I’ve seen a few posts of ADHD’ers and autism being classed as LCWRA indefinitely but I’m not entirely sure if that is correct.
I know I’ve struggled my entire life but currently I’m on the biggest burn out depression and anxiety I’ve ever experienced. But getting these diagnoses will help others understand the difficulties.

Hello @bluefox,
I believe severe conditions are those like Dementia, Parkinson's and conditions that are essentially deemed to have no chance of recovery of function.
Unfortunately, in a similar situation to yourself (I have IBD) with my condition, I was told although I have a lifelong chronic illness, I can have a run of good days. They deem that to mean I could function and in which could work. So when I was on Limited Capability they basically understood why the 30 different manual labor jobs were not suitable for me, but encouraged me to find work that can fit in with my health.0 -
The full details are here, including examples of conditions that might qualify someone. There's also some examples of conditions they may not qualify someone. https://www.disabilityrightsuk.org/sites/default/files/pdf/Severeconditionsguidance.pdfMy daughter has ASD and a learning disability and i can't see that she would ever qualify for this. I've not heard of many people qualifying for this in all the years i've been advising.
