hello, I am on the above rate but am confused. It states the disability premium for a single person at You'll get £36.20 a week for a single person which does not add up to the £354.28 a month that I am receiving. Does (LCWRA) include this disability rate or a different premium altogether? Hope this makes sense. - Thanks

You are mixing up different things.
The LCWRA element for UC is £354.28/month.
£36.20 is a disability premium for Income Support and JSA. It isn't applicable for UC.1 -
The disability premium of £36.20 refers to the old legacy benefits such as Income Support and JSA. It doesn't exist for UC. See link. https://www.gov.uk/disability-premiums All the disability premiums mentioned in that link do not apply to UC.The LCWRA element you're receiving is part of your UC claim and is completely different. UC is one benefit made up of many different elements.

Thank you, Poppy, I read the information in the link but was confused as it mentioned housing benefits. I was worried that I was getting overpaid and would receive a letter asking for an overpayment to be made.0

The disability premium was also applicable to Housing Benefit (shouldn't have included that in my earlier reply). You are not getting Housing benefit. You are claiming UC. There is no disability premium in UC.claybus said:Thank you, Poppy, I read the information in the link but was confused as it mentioned housing benefits. As you’re claiming UC if you claim for help with any rent then it would be through UC known as housing element.
You would only be claiming housing benefit if either living in supported or temporary housing.0
