Iv just been awarded enhanced both for mobility and carer previously I was on standard for both.. I filled in my review back in September. But received a phone call from pip 2 weeks ago .I'm presuming it must of been from DM as he told me after a few questions. He was going to increase my award .and it would be for 10yrs .I am recently retired 66 1 month ago ..I received my monthly payment last week .but not the back payment is this usual.. thankyou for any advice

If it was a review started by DWP they don't usually backdate the award. This only usually happens if you reported a change of circumstances.

Hi I did notify them a change in my circumstances after I returned the review form..I received a letter today that confirmed my new payments..it also stated I would receive another letter telling me about my back payments award just not received anything in bank or mail..maybe rescent bank Holidays and postal strikes have delayed communication0

Had you given that information to start with it would have been easier to advise you to ring PIP. Although usually unless you report a change of circumstances which prompts PIP to send you more forms then there's not usually money owed. In this instance it was a review where you reported changes.
