You are so fortunate to have had a nice Assessor.

My Assessor was like 'the speaking clock', just chugged along in a monotone fashion. There was a millisecond as he was about to break into laughter at the end of the assessment awarding me 'zero' points. He put the breaks on before he broke into laughter.
that's disgusting these are meant to be trained professional people doing these assessments, i think a lot of the time people only think of disabilities that can be seen they don't think mental health can be as bad if not worse in some cases and the pain we go through aswell. are you going to appeal if you get declined?
I've got MAS, Multiple Autoimmune Syndrome. One is enough to contend with, but three almost impossible. Apparently I've got lesions on my brain, now I don't remember putting them there, if I did, that's kind of careless of me. Still things are in motion (MR / Appeal) and I'm in 'ultra positive' mood, as usual.

Thanks, me too. But happy to 'tussle' with the DWP, that's already started. I'm thinking, they are not best pleased with the Assessor.

My question is to Poppy. If we are lucky enough to get the 10% raise in funds, do you know if motability  will take the raise of the mobility component?  Thats quite a lot of money extra. Being new to this, I have no clue. Thankyou for your help.

All benefits will be increased by 10.1% from April 2023. Yes, motability will still take the whole of your PIP mobility payment.

Take your time, don't be rushed, have your a copy of your filled in form to help jog your memory,
make notes of anything you wanted to add to the form but forgot. Give examples of how your conditions effect you from day to day (remember you've already given examples in the form,  just reinforce those and add if you can).

Good I think, but it's a bit complicated, I spoke to them this morning, I'm going to send some more info in, see where that takes me.

Hopefully you get the outcome you are looking for. Just got off the phone for my pip assessment i was so nervous an ended up having an asthma attack while on the phone as i got myself that worked up about it. I’m keeping everything crossed i get awarded something but not holding out any hope st the moment as i’ve heard a lot of stories where people have been declined when they should have been awarded it

There are anomalies in the whole process, if you don't get it, regroup, do a mandatory reconsideration in writing, provide real world examples of how your conditions effect you from day to day.  Then if you still don't get a favourable decision, regroup again, then Appeal, 73% of Appeals are successful.

Thanks so much poppy… this website is a godsend,  as benefits are minefield of confusing and not well communicated letters that end up giving more questions then answers .. it shows how much that your service is needed 👍 keep up good work and thanks again

Decisions can take up to 12 weeks once the report is returned. Sorry but I have no idea If that’s any indication that there’s an award. Once a decision is made you will be contacted.
