Hi @Sparklebright63 sorry to read about your stroke
I hope the appointment comes through quickly for you. Maybe avoid crossing roads on your own for a bit.

Hopefully you won't have to wait too long but the best advice I can offer having had TIA's myself is to rest, have they done an MRI or CT scan yet?2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡

Hi Woodbine,No not since I've had these problems but I did have a ct scan a month ago which they said were fine when I went today. What did they do when you go to stroke clinic?I always seem to be at the hospital with 1 thing or another I cannot win.Sparklebright63

Bless you @Sparklebright63 you do seem to be going through the mill a bit.
My eldest sister had a big stroke 10 years ago now, luckily it didn't affect her body, but unfortunately it did affect her brain, she has had some TIA's since.
Hopefully you will get your appointment through soon, the stroke clinic were very good with my sister, sorted out meds she has to be on for life and have past her care on to the Doctors now. One of her TIA did affect her vision and she was under the eye hospital for a year, they had to tweak her blood pressure tablets but her sight did come back properly, so just a waiting game for the clinic now, i'm sure they will sort you out. Just remember you have to take extra care now as your vision is affected. I take it you don't drive a car. x -
Hi Sue Heath,I don't drive as I am Partially Sighted but I would have loved to Drive I don't like it affecting my vision because I carnt see out of my other eye very disconcertingto me.Sparklebright63

I can imagine it must be disconcerting @Sparklebright63, I'm sorry to hear, and I hope you get an appointment with the stroke unit soon! As others have mentioned, make sure you look after yourself and get plenty of rest if you can
