Hi, my name is jimijojimbob!
Yes I had the AstraZeneca Covid jab on the 6th March 2021, that night I had a raging temperature that lasted 3 days I had the headache, sore arm, nausea and diarrhoea, on day seven I felt a little better then the next day the vomiting started coupled with explosive diarrhoea. An ambulance was sent and administered anti nausea medication, I wasn’t going to be put on a Covid ward so I stuck it out at home. This went on and on, over 5 months I had 7 bouts of sickness and diarrhoea couldn’t even keep water down, my gp sent me for tests that pointed towards Crohn’s disease only after waiting 65 weeks to see a gastroenterologist only to be told it’s not Crohn’s, it seems the Covid jab has attacked my immune system.
I’m now just playing the waiting game, it’s cost me my job all my hobbies have been put on hold for nearly 2 years as the fatigue is crippling.
Has anyone else had a similar issue?

Morning @jimijojimbob welcome to our great group.
I'm so sorry to hear about your health problems after having your covid jab, hope your getting help from your Doctors/hospital with this, it doesn't sound nice at all and worrying. Have you been able to go on the benifits system to help money wise ?
I haven't heard of anyone else in the group haveing the same problems, but that means nothing as i tend to stick to the coffee lounge, so i hope you do get feed back from other members.1 -
@SueHeath I have a disabled wife so we are stupidly enough, better off on benefits but it does nothing for one’s self esteem, I have reluctantly applied for PiP I’m having to go to court for that 🙄 I’ve also started a claim under the vaccine damage payment scheme I’ll see how that goes I won’t hold my breath as many health professionals won’t blame what’s happening on the Vaccine even though I’ve been saying it since day one, I would joke “they gave me Covid” but I’d test negative. My next appointment with gastro is the end of July that’s almost 2 years since my GP sent an urgent referral it will also be the second appointment and the first one was a telephone consultation. Our wonderful NHS is dead in the water!0

I did wonder about a claim @jimijojimbob but i don't know about it so wouldn't comment, things arn't made easy for this type of thing. Yes a lot of us have the experience of the waiting game at the moment with the NHS.
I wish you luck and i hope things do get better for you and your wife's health.
Stick around on the forum you never know what help/advice etc you will need and we have some great experts that help us. Your time permitting i find the site is very good for distraction from the stress's of life as well.
Once again i wish you luck.1 -
I can hear your frustration @jimijojimbob and the impact on your self-esteem.
Would anything, in particular, help this to feel more manageable for you at the moment? Please don't hesitate to let us know if we can do anything to support you.
We are all here for you and listening to you. You don't have to face this, or anything else, alone if you don't want to - even if it feels like a solo battle sometimes1 -
hi community members,
I came to know about VDS quite late this year. I am one of rare who get infected from Covid jabs. I had 3 Pfizer jabs in 2021 after having the booster within a 2 weeks I realised that I can’t run anymore started having chest pain. I went to see my GP who referred me to hospital for angioplasty and surprised result said no blockage at all. But just down the line after 2 months had a heart attack went to hospital and had angioplasty again and had 5 stents have been told I was very close to have bypass surgery. It took more than 6 months to recover then just after over the year had another heart attack and got another stent. I am still struggling for my day to day activities just walking at the moment still can’t run. Any suggestions about the VDS in this regard. Thanks
