I recently started a work from home job and I am in receipt of pip and haven't worked since 2018. I explained the gap in my work history as unemployed due to health reasons as I had a accident that affected my mobility and mental health massively. I didn't go into details just said unemployed due to health reasons. My job have now got in contact saying they are doing a audit and want evidence of my unemployment and to send them medical evidence such as my pip letters etc. I didn't claim any universal credit as just used my partners earnings. Can they ask for this medical evidence as I really don't feel comfortable sending it.

Hi and welcome to thehad f community
They don't have the right to ask for this the fact you were unemployed should show on your p45 you had from your last employer and your tax records1 -
