Worried about what to do next
Hi everyone
I’m getting worried now as I’ve been on the sick since 26th August 2022 with chronic kidney disease I don’t think I’m well enough to go back to work yet, my heads still spinning atm getting used to having dialysis treatment 3 times a week never mind trying to work a 40 hour contract as well. What shall I do next any advice would help a lot thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to the community
Has your employer been in regular contact with you
It is best to take their lead on this if they are asking about your return to work if not then wait till they do
They should have a long term sick policy you could do with reading and also medical dismissal policy
You could speak to hr or your manager about your future options but as above they should be leading these discussions
I understand your concerns but don't just resign find out what the company policy is and take it from there
Potential outcomes could be return with reasonable adjustments or medical dismissal or even possible ill health retirement depending on your pension0
