Can anyone tell me if my ESA SG claim is correct. I been in ESA SG for some years.
I claim ESA joint claim - I get PIP enhanced both Wife gets DLA high all parts.
I get a carers premium as an underlying entitlement is payable for carers.
I have informed the DWP years ago about my NHS pension which is deducted penny for penny as above.
In our situation is there anything we should not be claiming.
Also have a child of 17 at f/t college get C / benefit and C Tax payments for her.
Due to compliance interview I would appreciate a check of this by someone who understand the "system" better than I.
As far as I am aware my claims are all valid PIP was reassessed and i only get my renewed award this week.
All DWP would say this is not a criminal compliance check but I am worried sick - sick of them too ! roll on Friday all will be revealed ...
Thank you

I infer that your ESA includes contribution based ESA so you are not receiving CA yourself. There is a possibility that you are being underpaid. Are you and your wife the only two adults living in your household? If so you should be getting a Severe Disability Premium added to your award which is an extra £69.40. This would be for your wife because no one receives Carers Allowance for looking after her.
Once your son ceases to be a Qualifying Young Person entitlement to the SDP would end (unless he also gets a disability benefit).0 -

Hi,
No - we used to get SDP - we have a 21 year old daughter at home still so the SDP was stopped some time ago when she left f /t education.
So we then claimed CA for each other - wife gets the full amount - i get C premium as I have the underlying entitlement only.
I cannot see anything wrong .. any compensation is in PI trust fund. The money I sued the DWP for was given on the understanding it would not affect any benefit entitlement ... by my legal team Leigh Day ..
Just very worried as one might imagine ...

It all looks correct then.
I hadn’t connected to previous threads and as you mentioned your son but not your daughter that took me off at a tangent.1 -
I can’t see anything obvious that you’re being paid anything you should be receiving. As I advised in your other thread it could just be a random check, which does sometimes happen.I know this isn’t going to help you but I think anything else would just be guessing.1

Thank you both - Im relieved that I seem to be alright ...
Cannot imagine what they will come out with nothing surprises me with them - at least C Officer seemed helpful and just doing her job. She was professional ...
Im guessing its my pension - or cash seen in a bank account which exceeds their imposed limits.
But all my windfalls are told to them, and stored in PI trusts or otherwise explained to them by solicitors - made enough errors on my claims this year the DWP have
1) Failed to calculate my pension deduction using their own formula correctly
2) Stopped my Carers premium in error ! (someone added a random stop Date).
I might be doing my own complaint yet, I think (a compliance interview of my own lol)
Thank you for your help as always ... you guys are wonderful ...

I guessed right the DWP say they havent had the pension statements I sent them last year and this year.
Spoke to the compliance woman and she had only thing in mind. The DWP were right and I am not.
I spoke to her of my difficulties which I have posted here, today I noticed they still have thee wrong amount of pension deducted from my ESA - £52.22 instead of 55.03 ! so despite me telling them twice last month writing to them my ESA is still wrong - not bothered by that the DWP still insist I didnt notify them.
I had to request a copy of my pension statement from the NHS in October which tells me I had sent the one I received in May this year to them.
They went back as far as 2020 when COVID was a issue.
I cannot prove I sent them a statement - so Im upset. what constitues proof to these people who always backfoot blame to claimants
She said that she would send the file to a DM I might owe them a small amount of overpayment, but as the pension has gone up by £8.00 in that time - minus the underpayment they owe me of £132.00 then I might owe them £100.00
She told me the file was going to a DM were they sadly have a backlog - and said I might have to pay a Civil Penalty 50 quid depends on DM... did tell them Im struggling with MH (i told her cos of them)
Given that I have a history of always telling them - that is pension, my PI trust, and updating my pension successfully many times I am now the villain.
Not sure how to proceed when my pension goes up in May have to send it signed for - my reasoning with this organisation. Always our fault when thing are not quite right ...
Main thing know what it is all about - horrible process - and knew what they were doing and decided before I spoke to them !0
