SDP doesn't exist when claiming UC. When you claimed UC were you claiming a benefit such as Income Related ESA/JSA or Income Support that included the SDP? If so what was the reason why you claimed UC?You maybe entitled to SDP transitional protection but it will depend on your circumstances when you claimed UC.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

HI POPPY IT WAS C.A.B. THAT INFORMED ME ABOUT THE SDP BENEFIT THEN I INFORMED UC. UC INFORMED ME YES I WAS RIGHT WITH SDP AND THEY WOULD BACK DATE IT I DON'T KNOW FROM WHEN UC TOTAL FOR THAT BENEFIT WOULD BE PAID TO MY ACCOUNT WHAT EVER WAS OWNING TO ME. I CLAIM PIP AND ESA THROUGH UC AND I AM REGISTERED DISABLED

david58 said:I CLAIM PIP AND ESA THROUGH UCThat's not possible at all. PIP as nothing to do with UC. ESA is a separate benefit and nothing to do with ESA. You didn't answer my question, i can't help without know more details.poppy123456 said:When you claimed UC were you claiming a benefit such as Income Related ESA/JSA or Income Support that included the SDP? Hello @david58 and welcome to the community, thanks for explaining why you find it easier to write in capital letters, I'm sure it wasn't your intention to sound like you were shouting
Sometimes block capitals can be difficult to read for anyone with visual impairments using the forum, so please bear that in mind if you can.
I'm sorry to hear about your SDP being stopped, it would be helpful to know if you've claimed Income Related ESA/JSA or Income Support that included the SDP?
How are you finding managing your conditions at the moment? Do you feel like you're getting enough support?Online Community Coordinator

If you're claiming ESA and UC then your ESA will be New style ESA and there's no SDP payable with this or UC.Before you claimed UC which benefits exactly were you claiming?I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
