Hi I’m Dunnmd2023,
I’ve just joined on behalf of my son who has a learning disability. No particular diagnosis to his condition, he works and copes with life with the help of his family. His looking for friendship and a relationship but after reading the comments on the dating section I’m really concerned about signing him up to anything. Would appreciate any comments!

Hello there @Dunnmd2023 and welcome, thanks for reaching out :) So that everyone can share their thoughts more easily, I've just moved your post over into our Dating and Relationships category.

I'll also tag @Leo_Aces who has some knowledge in this area!

We often recommend The Outsiders Club here on the community as somewhere that might be good to try, so do take a look if you haven't already.

Hi @Dunnmd2023, thanks @Alex_Scope for tagging me in here.

@Dunnmd2023 have you perhaps looked up online groups and communities which may centre around activities or hobbies which your son enjoys? Facebook could be a good place to look for potential groups of interest

Are there any concerns, in particular, you have @Dunnmd2023 that you might want to talk to us about? I am aware there are quite a few concerns but they differ for different people!

Please don't hesitate to let us know if you would like to discuss this further with this. We are all here for you and listening to you.

Hopefully, your son will be able to find the friendships and relationships he is looking for but safely too whilst reassuring you about and helping you to manage your concerns  :)

There's another group called Luv 2 meet U which is run by a company called HFT. Thanks @Alex_Scope for suggesting the outsider club never heard of it but I could do with a bit of socialising with my own age group.
