Hi
I have just been awarded LCWRA.
I have been sending fit notes in since August 21for every 3 months until the last in November 22 and sent off my limited capability form back off in October 21, Had one assessment booked and then had to have it reschedule an finally had it on the 20th January so well over a year since i sent form back.
I get paid my UC on the 4th of every month. Just wondering how many months back pay i should roughly be expecting.

Depending on the exact date you reported your health condition/sent your first fit note then first payment would be either Dec 2021 or Jan 2022.

That means your waiting period will be Aug to Nov 2021. LCWRA starts from Nov to Dec assessment period and first payment would be 4th Jan 2022. This means they owe you 12 months payments up until 4th Jan 2023.Before they pay what is owed they need to recalculate your past statements to work out what you've received against what you should have received, you will then be paid the difference between the 2. Once this is done you'll receive a letter on your journal telling you how much they owe and it will be paid into your bank. When they do this the new statements will replace the old ones so if you want to keep them you should take copies now.The above advice assumes you're not claiming UC with a partner that already receives the LCWRA element on your claim.0

Thank you for explaining it to me. So it's just a case of waiting for the DWP to sort it all out then an them getting back to me. It does apply to me as I'm a single claimant.
Just one more question, I'm due to be paid next week will it be on that statement or the next one just so I don't panic due to my autism0 -
Very often it takes a few weeks sometimes longer to recalculate your past statements. You will need to check your statement when you receive it to see if the LCWRA element is added.
