Oh that's amazing news what are you going to spend your 1400 pound on?
Haha thanks! Yes it's a huge relief finally  I will have to pay back some money I owe people, and will use it to keep up on some bills, so mostly boring things! I'll upgrade my old rubbish phone as it's driving me mad and an essential purchase for communication. (There are lots of powerful android phones for around £90-£150).

    Deleted it for you @ OJ_Man :)

So glad for you, it's frustrating how long claims can go without being looked at!

Thanks! :D:blush:  Yes. It was driving me bananas and stressful. I'm lucky that I have family helping. For people caring alone the delay would have been unbearable! Not good for people's mental health.

I really hope they can fix this problem in the future. Especially as there is so much unclaimed benefit money sitting around that could be dished out to people who need it.

    I'm in a similar situation.

Applied for CA in Dec 23.
Received a payment in Jan 24.
Then I received a random letter asking me for 3 months payslips ( I'm employed & paid 4 wkly)
I sent these in at the end of march. I've called several times for progress updates. All I get it's with the back office.

No payments since January how is this helpful. How can this dept just stop money.

I sometimes do a couple of hours overtime but I never earn anyway near the limit.

I have been advised on her to contact my MP but this drastic.
