Hi,
I am going through the PIP reassessment and my healthcare report was full of errors. Contacted both PIP and the healthcare assessor and looks like I have to wait for the decision and then ask for a mandatory reconsideration. I am terrified by the loss of income, and am trying to sort out my money. If I lose my PIP award do I lose my ESA too, or what happens? Thank you in advance, it is an absolute nightmare and I am beyond stressed!

If your PIP stops it will only affect your ESA if the ESA includes the Severe disability Premium because you live alone. If it does then your ESA will reduce by £69.40/week or £138.80/week couples rate.If someone claims either carers allowance or carers element of Universal Credit for looking after you then those will end for them.If you're claiming help with any rent from housing benefit and you live with non dependants then your housing benefit maybe reduced because of the non dependants.1

Thankyou, I am so confused and disillusioned by the whole process. I don’t even think I can be bothered with it any more. It is so damned frightening and frustrating that the system seems to be stacked against the very people it is supposed to be helping.0

It sounds really overwhelming for you at the moment @Annii Is there anything that might help to make it feel more manageable?
Please don't hesitate to let us know if there's anything we can do that might help it to feel more manageable at the moment. We are all here for you and listening to you0
