Hello everyone,
Im just wondering if anyone can help me please.
I applied for PIP back in November 2022. I received a text on Friday 3rd Feb 2023 saying I’ve been awarded PIP.
I’ve just had my very first payment into my account of £265??
I’ve had no letters from DWP explaining my award and how much I’m entitled to but I was anticipating more than just £265… I also thought I’d receive backdated payments too.
Can anyone at all make sense of it please?
thank You xx

Based on that amount it could be possible that you were awarded just standard mobility only because this is £24.45/week. It will depend on when exactly in November you rang to start your claim but it does sound like standard mobility is your award and that amount is what they owe you.You can either wait for the decision letter to arrive or you can ring PIP to ask what you've been awarded. If you disagree with the decision you can challenge it by first requesting the Mandatory Reconsideration. (MR)
