Pip tried to call …

Hi. I’m new here but have been reading up on threads for a while…
I missed 2 calls today from PIP and they sent 2 text messages just saying they had tried to call and also left me 2 voicemails. Voicemails were vague just saying it was such and such from DWP. I have already had my assessment on 27/1/23 over the phone and this is a new claim. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this.

Are they ringing to say I’ve not been awarded PIP. My husband will be home tomorrow so he will ring them back when with me as I have trouble on the phone on my own.
I have also just noticed I haven’t posted this in the correct thread so apologies.

They will not ring you to tell you the decision. It is likely a Decision Maker seeking to clarify some points with you in order to help them reach a decision.0

We have awarded you PIP. We have sent you a decision letter explaining the award. Please allow 2 weeks to receive this. You only need to contact us if your circumstances change.Woke up to this so I guess I won’t try and get back to them. Really was not expecting this especially with them trying to contact me yesterday.Guess I’ll keep an eye on my bank account.1

Good news. They may have been ringing to check your bank details. Any money owed will be paid into your bank 3-5 working days after payment was made.If you want to know what you've been awarded and when to expect payment into your bank, you can ring PIP to ask them.0

@ellementtt That's great news, especially as it was unexpected! I'm made up for you
Just to let you know, I've moved this thread over to our PIP, DLA and AA category to help others who might be in a similar spot.
All the best and remember, we're here if ever you need anything.0 -
Thanks @Teddybear12
Thanks @Cher_Scope and thank you for moving the thread.
@poppy123456 tried to
give them a call and ask before husband went to work, couldn’t get through after 45mins on hold so will try again tomorrow. I have read somewhere about long wait times to get through so I expected that tbh.1 -
How have things been today @ellementtt, any luck?0

Hi @Alex_Scope yeah managed to get through this morning, I’ve been awarded standard rate for both daily living and mobility.They were trying to contact me to ask if I was comfortable with having back payment put into my account.I’ve been awarded until June or July 2025 (can’t remember which!).I honestly thought I was going to be awarded 0 points on everything so it’s like I’ve read before, some people have a right time with it but it was all an ok process for myself, the telephone consultation was the worst bit for myself but the lady I had was lovely and even told me to take care at the end of the call… I have read some horror stories.I did send in plenty of supporting info also.1
