Hi i received this text this morning after my assessment yesterday it was meant to be a video assessment but we had it on the phone instead. and if i’m honest it was a lot quicker than expected i’d say maybe upto 30 minutes maximum? the women was lovely, understanding and a mental health nurse. i just have a question. did i have a paper based assessment? and they jus went over my form with me and few extra questions i’m only asking this because it says we received “ the written report of your assessment “ or am i being stupid? thanks for any help and i’ll be honest. don’t be scared of applying and the assessment. i know everyone gets a different assessor but mine was brilliant ans felt she had a real understanding of me and my conditions, day to day struggles. and said to my mother I’m terrified to go outside. which hit the nail on the head along with my other conditions. thank you everyone and have a good day.

No, you didn't have a paper based assessment, you had a telephone assessment. It's normal for assessments to take between 20-120 minutes.A report is always written after any assessment, whether it's face to face, video, phone or paper based. It's perfectly normal for it to be returned to DWP this quick. In fact sometimes they are returned within a couple of hours after the assessment. It means nothing other than they completed the assessment and the report was written.A decision can now take up to 12 weeks.0

Because it causes so much more needless anxiety, even if the report does recommend an award.
