I’m new I am new here I don’t understand anything about New style ESA I just claimed and had telephone interview from work coach, I was very confused never knew it would be an interview. After that she sent me email about my claimant commitment which showed I was agree with all commitments . I’m afraid I won’t be able to do it . I can not work . But in the commitments they asked for CV to book with them and make Cv ? If I’m in limited capability for work and work related activities, will I still need to make CV ? The work coach said on phone interview they will inform me next week if I’m eligible for the claim or not ?

If making a CV was part of your claimant commitment, yes. Until assessed it’s the work coaches discretion wether or not to turn commitments off completely or at least reduce them. If you do get awarded LCW then you’ll have meetings every few months to prepare you for work, taking in to account your health conditions (the maximum time for this group on New-Style ESA is 365 days). If you get awarded LCWRA known as the Support Group then you will have no commitments and will simply be ‘left alone’ and this comes with an extra premium on your payment.

If you aren’t eligible for New-Style ESA then you can always look at Universal Credit (provided you don’t have savings over £16,000). You can also claim this alongside ESA if you have housing costs etc, a benefits calculator should help you:

Just to add, have you considered applying for PIP if you don’t already receive this?
