Just after some advice. I have two jobs which i use to work over 50 hrs a week. This is now around 30 because of my illness. I've recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia after the last years been poorly on and off and have since worsened. My doctor had come to this conclusion through to my health over time. I have also B12 and very low vitamin c and D. I do suffer with anxiety to, so you have an idea. I find mornings a real struggle, come afternoon when working, I'm having to force myself to carry on to end and then by evening I feel terrible. I go to bed so early. When I go out shopping or walk even up hills, I have to stop as feel so weak but I do carry on. I did pride myself with my home but the way I feel most of the time I just haven't the energy to do what i use to. My hubby does alot. Since Christmas I've had to cut my work load down by half because of how i feel and this is now having an impact Financially. I'm not sure wheather I qualify or not. Is it worth putting a claim in for it do you think. Thank you.

Hello @Melissa150409 How are you doing?
Oops, it looks like a poll has sneakily attached itself to your post, but that's no bother. We can still help!
I'm sorry your fibromyalgia and other conditions are making life more challenging for you. You can work and claim PIP, that's no issue.
As PIP is awarded based on a points system, the main part to focus on now is whether your conditions impact your ability to complete the PIP activities and descriptors sufficiently and how many points you believe you should score; bearing in mind that a minimum of 8 points is needed to get standard rate for either component. Scope have a brilliant advice page about PIP too, that contains lots of other information. Please try and give that a read when you have time.
If you have any other questions, please give us a shout. Our members are a friendly, knowledgeable bunch so don't be afraid to ask.
Best wishes and take care.0 -
