I just wanted to ask a question. I’m currently getting ESA & I’m getting married this year & my husband won’t be living with me, but will I still get my ESA benefit???

Also do I need to tell DWP when I’m married as I’m changing my surname???0

As you won't be living together then there's no changes to report. You don't have to report the name change if you choose not to.

As I live on my own now & I'm in receipt of pip, do I get exception from bedroom tax? Cos I've got 1spare bedroom0

PIP doesn't automatically exempt you from the bedroom tax. If you need regular overnight care and your PIP includes the daily living part then you maybe able to claim for an extra bedroom. You will need to speak to your Local Authority regarding this. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/help-if-on-a-low-income/housing-benefit/how-an-extra-bedroom-affects-your-housing-benefit/check-if-youre-allowed-an-extra-bedroom-for-housing-benefit/If your ESA is Income Related and no one claims either carers allowance or carers element of Universal Credit for looking after you then you'll be entitled to SDP if your PIP includes the daily living part. To claim this you'll need to contact ESA and ask to apply for SDP.
