PIP telephone assessment today

It lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes, all mental health and he did not even touch on my poor control of type 1 diabetes. I am terrible on the phone, all over the place and very nervous. At the end of it the man said 'you did well' and said I'd have to wait around 8 weeks for the outcome. I know they don't make the decision but it has raised my hopes - unless he was being sarcastic I suppose. Anyone else had a comment like that at their assessment or am I reading too much into it. Thank you.

You're reading too much into it. You can't predict anything at this stage. Once the report is written and returned to DWP a decision can take up to 12 weeks.

Hello @madmaddden and thanks for sharing your experience, well done for getting through it, that's the hard part over now!
It can be difficult to wait for what could be quite a while, so one of the best things you can do is focus on stuff that will help take your mind off the application for a bit. Spending time with loved ones, or doing things you enjoy can help, or you are always welcome to come chat in the Coffee Lounge.
You've done all you need to for now, but please reach out in the meantime if you need to. I wish you all the best for a positive outcome!0
