Only about 23% of MR decisions changed so it’s likely the decision remained the same. Is this for a PIP claim? If so is it a first time claim or a review?

    Hi ness71

    Welcome to Scope online.
Lots of information and fun on site.

First of all, you can only speculate until you receive the decision letter.
The DWP is 'quirky', is kind of random, so they never follow decisions and payments as we believe they will. Wait for the letter, if it's bad news (fingers crossed it won't be), regroup, seek advice, then Appeal.

They send texts for PIP awards when it’s a first time claim, they don’t send texts for reviews.

The reason why you didn’t receive a text for your LCWRA decision is because they don’t send texts for that. If you have access to a journal for your UC claim then there’s no need to send a text because decision letters are uploaded onto your journal.

I was receiving pip then had a change as condition got worse but had to take this to mandatory reconsideration so as it's a reconsideration decision wont get a text just got to wait to see in a letter?

As I advised it’s unlikely you will receive a text because they don’t send texts for reviews or change of circumstances even though it’s an MR.

Out of curiosity did you get some expert advice before you reported changes? A worsening of condition doesn’t automatically mean you can score more points needed for a higher award.

I wouldn’t expect any GP to understand the PIP descriptors and what they mean. When I asked if you got expert advice I meant from an advice agency,  not from a GP. GPs are not benefit experts.

Don't let the DWP 'cause you anxiety / stress', you have enough to deal with. When you start thinking about the MR, 'distraction is your friend', do things you enjoy, watch TV, listen to music, if you have a deck of cards - see if you flick them in a bin (don't forget to take them out), paint something, so many things you can do etc.
