I diagnosis of any condition doesn't automatically entitle you to any benefits. You can look at claiming PIP but whether there's any entitlement will depend on exactly how your conditions affect you against the 12 PIP activities. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/Global/Migrated_Documents/adviceguide/pip-9-table-of-activities-descriptors-and-points.pdf
It's not means tested so working, living with a partner, savings/capital doesn't affect any entitlement.

If you're unable to work and you're entitled to SSP from your employer then you need to look at this first. You'll need a fit note to give to your employer. https://www.gov.uk/statutory-sick-pay/eligibility

If working is difficult you can also speak to your employer about reasonable adjustments. https://www.acas.org.uk/reasonable-adjustments

If you claim SSP for 28 weeks then you can look at claiming Universal Credit as well but this is a means tested benefit and whether there's any entitlement will depend on your circumstances. If you live with a partner you claim as a couple and your joint circumstances will be taken into consideration. If you have savings/capital of more than £16,000 you're excluded from claiming. Use a benefits calculator to check entitlement. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/benefits-calculator/Intro/Home?cid=6ae57125-06f6-4aa1-b3fa-031529e72bc8

I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Hey @wiggy1976. A warm welcome from me. It is great to see you have joined us. Thanks for already having the courage to reach out to us.

I am hearing it is the stress in your job that you are mostly struggling with. Am I hearing this right and, if so, is there a particular part of your job that causes you stress?

I am wondering how your situation might look if your stress is reduced at work. Please don’t hesitate to let us know if there’s anything else we can do to support you :)
