No problem. At least now you know you weren't entitled to it when you first claimed UC. The only issue now is to please be aware that if you're found to have LCWRA then this will erode your TP completely so you won't be better off by the full amount of £390.06/month. You will only be better off by the difference between that and your TP amount.

Poppy I received £253 on tp so If I lucky to get the lcwra how much would it be?

That means you'll be £137.06/month better off. Your TP will erode completely. Your statement will include the LCWRA element from the 4th month after you reported your health condition.

Thanks Poppy you been helpful now I just wait to be assessed. It's frustrating when it seems to be all over the website that you should be seen in three months when it's really only a few. I know you'll probably can't answer but do you think it's a first come first serve basis? I sent my form back a week before the closing date but because it came two weeks late they sent it back to the Jobcentre! I never realised untill I phoned up in march! I had to spend nearly a month getting it sent back!!

No problem. I don't think it says "you should be seen within 3 months." Sometimes decisions are made within this time but other times it can be longer than this. Backlogs cause delays unfortunetely.

I don't think it's anything to do with first come, first served. All areas and cases will be different. Some wait longer than others.

Sorry Poppy one more question! I'm getting 394 month housing benefit but I'm moving into a flat that's £345 month rent. I won't get the difference back will I!!!?

Unless you're living in either temporary of supported housing your rent will be paid in with your UC known as housing element. Housing benefit is a completely different benefit.

You can't receive any more than what you're rent is so no you will not receive the difference. Once you move you'll need to report a change of circumstances on your journal and tell them you've moved. The changes will take place in the assessment period in which they were reported.
