I want to inform the PIP office before I change the bank. I have been trying contacting them on the given number. Go through all the security check etc. Then they put me into the right area and the phone rings for ages but nobody answers. What other method can I inform that I want to change the bank. Been doing it for the last two weeks without success.

There's no other way of reporting the changes. You will just need to keep on ringing until someone answers, very often it can take an hour. Try ringing as soon as they open at 9am as this is often the best time to ring.

Just wondering if you are using the current account switching service? If so, there is no need to inform PIP, it all gets done for you.

I don’t know of this service . Please advise how can I get that.0

It’s where your new bank closes your old bank account down and redirects all incoming and outgoing payments, the major banks are all apart of this scheme. If you have opened another account for the sake of it, this service is not for you and you must make changes manually.lesamo said:I don’t know of this service . Please advise how can I get that.1 -

No. This service is only for switching from an old current account to a brand new one. You will have to continue trying to contact PIP if you wish to switch between two old accounts unfortunately.lesamo said:To bg844 - no I have two current accounts that have existed side by side for a number of years .
