Carers Allowance Misinformation ?

An update to what has been a bit of a saga.
We hear lots of reports about people from the DWP being uncaring/ unhelpful etc ... after speaking to a very helpful man yesterday afternoon who escalated my case to have the correct award on file, we spoke to a lovely woman today who has sorted everything out their end. No more overpayments on my ESA ... Carers Premium backdated to November and payment actioned to be with me next week
So credit where credit is due, in my experience over the years, most people from the DWP have been very professional and sympathetic. Just the one who didn't seem interested and that's the one I first reported the overpayment to a month ago0 -
As she promised I received the backdated Carers Premium in the early hours this morning
Took a while to get everything in a row, but in the grand scheme of things it was relatively quick too
Thanks again @poppy123456 and @calcotti0
