Hello, I'm hoping you may be able to help me with a holiday company / hotel suggestions for my sister Janet. Her physical disabilities are such that she requires 24 hour care. If you think of any suitable options please let me know, thanks in advance, regards, Gary

Hi @GaryS and a warm welcome to our online community, how are you and your sister?
It's great that you're thinking of holiday options for Janet, whereabouts would you ideally have in mind?
Here's a list of accessible travel companies from Scope's 'Travel tips by disabled people' advice page:Whilst, I've amended the title of your thread to make it more visible to our other members who might have good ideas and moved it to our Housing and independent living category too
Disabled travellers should expect the same level of service from mainstream travel operators as everyone else. But there are companies that specialise in supporting disabled travellers’ needs.
Limitless Travel is a specialist holiday provider for people with a wide range of mobility restrictions and conditions.
Enable Holidays is an agency that specialises in accessible travel for wheelchair users.
Travel Eyes is a tour operator providing independent group travel for people who are blind or partially sighted.
Disabled Holidays is a specialist provider that organises a range of accessible holidays including cruises, adventure holidays, and family breaks.
Please keep us posted with how you get on, we hope you can organise some fun travels!0 -
Thanks Cher, both good thanks. Looking at UK based holiday, ideally options a few hours from where she lives in Colchester, Essex. Previously she has spent a week at the Park House Hotel, Sandringham, which she loved, but sadly this has closed. I've tried Revitalise, but they were unable to assist due to Janet's care plan requirements and I've looked at Limitless Travel which I'm not sure has anything suitable. Thanks for the list of travel companies, much appreciated, I'll review them and if you come across any other ideas for Janet please let me know, many thanks, kind regards, Gary0

Hi @GaryS
We'll get our thinking caps on for you and Janet. In the meantime, have any of our other members got any ideas? It would be lovely for her to have a break0 -
Thanks Cher, appreciate your time on this and if any of the community has suggestions, that would be great. I've looked at the links you've sent me thank you and I don't believe they can help. It's worth pointing out at this stage that Janet requires a UK location with 24hr care, she's changed & feed by her carers, as over 70, two hearing aids and cerebral palsy she's permanently in a wheel chair with a hoist for bedtime. She'd love a change of scenery, enjoys interaction with others and short trips out - all ideas welcome. many thanks, kind regards, Gary0
