Hi everyone. I'm new here.
I have been diagnosed with bile salt malabsorption and bile salt diarrhoea.
Is there any kind of help out there. I don't seem to be getting anywhere with a pip application.
Still have a few remaining health assessments.
Has anyone had this kind of problem with applications with DWP?

PIP isn't awarded based on any diagnosis. What they look at is how your conditions affect you against the 12 PIP acitivities. Whether you qualify will totally depend on exactly how your conditions affect you.You need to score at least 8 points in either daily living and/or mobility for a standard award and at least 12 points for Enhanced. It really does help to have some understanding of the PIP descriptors and what they mean. Start by having a read of this. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/personal-independence-payment-assessment-guide-for-assessment-providers/pip-assessment-guide-part-2-the-assessment-criteriaOr you can speak to an advice agency near you for some expert advice. You'll be able to explain exactly how your conditions affect you and then they will be able to go through the descriptors with you to see if enough of points can be scored. Having a disability doesn't mean you automatically qualify for PIP. (i'm not saying you don't)
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
