Question about LCWRA element of UC and how someone claiming carers allowance may affect it.

Hi, so I'm receiving the higher rate of PIP mobility and daily living which I recently found out would entitle my mum who cares for me to apply for a Carers allowance.
I'm also on UC and am receiving the LCWRA element and I'm concerned from what I've read on the Carers allowance forms that my mum receiving a carer's allowance to care for me would affect this element of my UC.
Also, my mum isn't receiving UC, but she is receiving her state pension and the lower rate of PIP daily living.
I've tried googling this but couldn't find an answer, would really appreciate any information anyone has,
Thanks.

Your UC claim has nothing to do with your mum or what benefits she maybe entitled to.As your mum is state pension age if her state pension is more than £69.70/week she won't receive any money for carers allowance because it's classed as an overlapping benefit. She will have what's known as an underlying entitlement to it, which means she could be entitled to pension credit or if she's already claiming pension credit then it could increase it by £38.85/week for the carers premium. Whether there's any entitlement will depend on her circumstances. Does she live with a partner or alone? If she lives with a partner is the partner state pension age or below?1
