Work capability assessment

Hi @vickyuk

I know your comment on here was quite a while ago. First congrats on your outcome.

I too am a long covid sufferer, I get chest pains breathless, weak limbs, dizziness and balance problems and fatigue. As well anxiety and depression.

I did the work capability assessment but didn’t get the outcome I would like. I feel like I’m on my own with this all. I have to battle with everyone to prove how sick I am and it seems like no one cares. It’s like they think covid is all done, don’t worry about the people affected let’s all get on with. I would like to be better but I just feel gaslighted and put down especially by my work coach.

You may not get a reply from that member because they haven't been active since last August.
If you disagree with the decision of your WCA you can request the MR within 1 month of the date of the decision. If you're outside this timescale you can still request it within 13 months but you need to make sure you tell them why you're late requesting it.

Hey @ghannah01. This is a shorter response from me here because I have just responded to your other thread about 'long covid symptoms'.

I did want to say I hear you and have seen your thread though. You mention experiencing anxiety and depression. Do you have the support you need and deserve to help manage these?

It sounds really difficult that you did the work capability assessment but didn’t get the outcome you would like. I would like to reassure you though that you don’t have to be on your own with all this if you don’t want to be.

We are all here for you, even if you may feel alone. Also, we care and I find we understand more than the wider world about a range of things  <3
