Meeting other children with CP

Hello everyone.  My daughter is 8yrs with mild right-sided Hemiplegia.  She also has other diagnoses which impact her learning at school.  She is struggling with not knowing any other children with CP and feels very isolated because of this.  We would love to meet similar families who may be interested?  We live in Central Bedfordshire.

    It's so sad to hear your daughter feels so isolated, have you looked on Social Media for any groups in your area? You may also find our Cerebral Palsy section helpful :)

    Hi I have a 7 year old daughter with right sided hemiplegia. We are in Suffolk. My daughter is struggling at school
    and has fallen way behind.

    Hello @mias_mummy and welcome, I'm sorry to hear about your daughter struggling in school. I have CP myself, and remember sometimes in school it was hard going keeping up. Would you mind if I asked what specifically is causing her to fall behind?

    Have you spoken to anyone about your concerns at the school?

    If your daughter doesn't have an EHCP, it might be helpful to look into one, as this can give structured support within the school environment. I know it can be a real battle to get one put in place, so please ask if you feel you need extra support.
